    Today i got this nice Sacred Treasure - after the Buy i saw its hallmarked with the Katakana

    What do you think in which period this sacred treasure was made?

    Yes, that case is original. I don't have a Sacred Treasure with this particular hallmark, but I've got a Rising Sun with one:

    I believe the Rising Sun to be a Meiji-era piece, but I'm going to guess that your Sacred Treasure is a late-Meiji to early-Taisho era piece.

    Thanks for showing your rising sun. I didnt Saw an other hallmark like this. 

    That would be fantastic If the medal were from the late meiji / early taisho period :cheers:

    There were three main private manufacturers of the orders up until 1929:

    Hirata Haruyuki (平田春行) Namikawa Sousuke (濤川惣助) Ohki Souho (大木宗保) 

    The 'na' hallmark most likely belonged to Namikawa.  

    If you have my medals newsletter of 2012, I wrote about this in issue #7 and included a short bio of Namikawa.
