dante
Nice Bavarian citation to Hauptmann Friedrich Klinge, he has a Wikipedia entry here https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friedrich_Klinge copy of his file attached, has anyone noted any pictures of him or details of his war service? thanks, Paul
Chip
If I'm reading this correctly, he was just getting this paper in 1918 for a wound suffered in 1914!Chip
Chris Boonzaier
Hi, totally normal as the badge was only introduced in 1918... nice print!! Hi, very short war service, wounded at Arras in October 1914, hospitals, then to the Ersatz battalion then released from service in 1916.Was in the 10th Bavarian reserve regiment... unfortunately i dont have the history. For guys wounded/invalided or killed in 1914 there is usually not that much to find. They were not long enough in the unit to make a mark...
