The Prussian Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Here another Württemberg Geb.Rgt.I assume, it´s from the "regimental" era, because of the absence of the "S" at the collar". That only was worn in the early days, when it used to be a company or a bataillon.
The Prussian Posted September 29, 2015 Author Posted September 29, 2015 Unfortunately I can´t see no cocades on the mountain-cap.I wonder why sometimes they were worn at the front, sometimes at both sides
Chris Boonzaier Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Here are a selection of photos, unfortunately not Bavarian, but Württemberg... ;-) Some Mountain cap variation can be seen.... http://kaiserscross.com/69501/273301.html
The Prussian Posted September 29, 2015 Author Posted September 29, 2015 Very nice photos!!!! I´ve seen them before!I see the cocades at the caps side. Probably Württemberg had them aside, because the space between the two front-buttons was too tight
dante Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Is it me but does the cap on the right have a cloth peak?
The Prussian Posted September 30, 2015 Author Posted September 30, 2015 Yes, dante, but that´s right. Württemberg had cloth peaks. Bavaria the other ones (some kind of plastic)
