I don´t know, if i ever posted this, but here is the deathcard of my uncle Reinhold Becker, who fell near Orel end of 43 with 19 years. I´m not good with uniforms, can someone fill me in, what he is wearing here?

Text:

"For Führer and Fatherland, our oldest son, Grenadier Reinhold Becker died on the 7.7.1943 south of orel a hero´s death.(Heldentod, is there a specific translation?). His company commander writes: "He was a very honest soldier and allways ready for action. His goal was to give everything for the victory."

in mourning: Karl Becker, Emilie Becker, Parents; Robert (my father) and Elsa Becker, brother and sister.

His wearing a RAD = Reichsarbeitsdienst uniform.

Here is his burial details. According to the Volksbund he was killed on the 9th July 1943, the forth day of Operation Citadel.

i found a picture, which probably shows his name on one of the stones, but sadly its cut off at the bottom, right where his name should be.

Do you know what unit he served in?

No, unfortunately i don´t. My dad was always relucant to speak about Reinhold and i don´t have anything else but this card.

Try contacting the Deutsche Dienstelle and giving them his name, date of birth and birth place. They might hold his service record and if you are lucky they could provide you with his service details. They only tend to give details to the Next of Kin but as you are related to him you might get lucky...

Yeah i´m patient. Just would be nice to find out a little more about him. There is literally nothing, i could find out beside, what we see here.
