Jock Auld Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 (edited) Guys, Another local rescued out of the skip. She looks uncannily like the Willrich post card she herself kept? last one Edited September 26, 2016 by hucks216
Bernhard H.Holst Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 Hello Jock. Thanks for showing this what looks like a complete set of training and service records for this lady. The testimony of the lady of the house under whom she absolved her training was a lot better than her final official grades. Indeed a likeness between the photo and the drawing. Bernhard H. Holst
speedytop Posted September 24, 2016 Posted September 24, 2016 Hi Jock, why do you write "volunteer"? See in the Reichsarbeitsdienst-Paß > "Die Reichsarbeitsdienstpflichtige" See Wikipedia: "During World War II compulsory service also included young women ..." Uwe
Jock Auld Posted September 24, 2016 Author Posted September 24, 2016 Uwe, I had it in my head that it was on a volunteer basis for women. I stand corrected then. Thankyou. What do you think of the post card and her picture, in particular the one on her pass? I guess we would never know but she is pretty close to the study on the Willrich?
speedytop Posted September 24, 2016 Posted September 24, 2016 Close yes, but not complete, see the different ears. I think, that it is mere chance. Uwe
Jock Auld Posted September 25, 2016 Author Posted September 25, 2016 I wonder if there is a list of his subjects anywhere? I never thunk of that before but like you say probably not, although for my eye it is close. Still, better in my collection than up the chimney at the kraftwerk!
