Stormrider59 Posted March 18, 2017 Share Posted March 18, 2017 3rd Army + IV Corps, the checkerboard Circle underneath the "O.H.B." is for the IV Corps, which likely explains the 4 Aces. I see a pair of dice on there as well, very interesting piece. I do find it interesting to see that the 3rd Army was formed on November 7th, 1918, so I would wonder when this helmet was painted. This helmet is definitely a case for IV Corps service, I am at a loss for the O.H.B. as well (certainly could be initials). I will ask my WWI collector buddy to see what he thinks.
