Is this Man a Bavarian ? Not my area of knowledge!

Have had this Cabinet Card for a while and have always thought that this Man was a Bavarian, My  knowledge really centres around the British Army and I am out of my depth with this one.

Can anyone shed some light on this Man please.

Hi Simon,

yes he is a native bavarian, you can see two classes from the Militärverdienstorden

and his long service cross is bavarian too.

indeed he is; Oberst Konrad Kronberger, commanding 11. Infanterie-Regiment von der Tann around 1901.

Yes, a Franco-German war veteran. He was awarded the Knight's cross 2nd class of the Bavarian Military Merit Order as an Unterlieutenant in 14. Infanterie-Regiment for his conduct at Sedan.
