Farkas
Hi Gents these are all different examples if the front is the same then the back is different. I was told recently that the thick pinned are older.... i don't know the ages and maybe the FF's don't belong? I couldn't get past thinking, (wistfully) somehow it stood for Franz Ferdinand. Don't laugh. As I've just recently read a post about a Rumanian Royal Cypher with initials Ff ive dug them out. all bar one are metal tony
Farkas
Hi gents i know what the one of them is now... Does anyone have any thoughts on any of the others please? should I perhaps in fact be thinking of them as pre 1918? (ie try asking on other forum...)? Cheers tony
Bayern
Hello Farkas , Idont laugh ,but i know that there were no cockades with F F for Franz Ferdinand . probably the cockades with the double F belonged to the Freiwillige Feuerwehr . The Firemen .

Bayern - I do like your suggestion for the FF’s. Makes sense. Ive got one of those old imperial German fireman helmets so I might tuck these away with that. Christian - thanks for the date/period for these. They looked similar to more modern ones I have on a couple of caps from army surplus pickings. thanks again cheers tony
