NavyFCO Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 And the document... I'm not a fan of the photo in it, but I do really like the handwriting. MUCH nicer than the normal "felt tip pen" handwriting that's so common to fakes these days.
NavyFCO Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 Here's another out on the market... This one is courtesy of Collectrussia.com. Note the enamel on this one. Although it's rather broken up, this is what the enamel SHOULD look like!
NavyFCO Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 (edited) And the reverse of this one. Once again, this is how I'd expect a real one to look, though there are still two small "bump" spots that I think would have been hit by quality control at the mint at the 5 and 7 o'clock positions. I think though that this is a good one for a "benchmark"... Edited April 17, 2006 by NavyFCO
Stogieman Posted April 19, 2006 Author Posted April 19, 2006 The eBay badge has been on-offer forever. We've talked about it before, both here and on the Sov forum. Interesting point is that originally, one of the more senior members of the Sov Forum sold this set on the website. This really falls into the "unexplored" realm of collecting. There are so few people out there that really know anything about these little gems.
Ed_Haynes Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 Knowing what a swamp these things are, I have an image to post for serious comment. It hasn't had an easy life.Should it come my way, it will go to Alexei soon thereafter.
