A little help please -- "Übermaterialschlacht"

I recently ran across a word that leaves me uncertain.  What exactly is "Übermaterialschlacht" ?  I think that I understand "Materialschlacht", but not certain what adding the "Über" to the front of it does to the meaning.  As always, any and all help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you
