Need help in identifying this Luftwaffe Document.

Dear All,

I seriously need your expert help in;-

1) identifying this type of document

2) the unit history such as where they fought, commanders, etc...

3) based on the signature ,the identity of the Hauptmann.??

4) Any history/info about Herr Karl Lowenstein??

I know its asking alot from you guys but i would really appreciate for any help given

I?m afraid my ?S?tterlin Schrift? is pretty poor, but let?s see if we can give you some information on this nice early document.

Presented to; Gefreiter Karl L?wenstein for, what I take to be, outstanding service.

Born; 16th Feb? 1915 in D?sseldorf.

Served in the 1. batterie, Flaklehrregiment (1st Battery.Anti-aircraft training regiment) from 1st Oct 1936- 27th Oct 1938.

I?ll do a bit of research and see if I can track down a little more information on this unit.

Some more on the writing, it says "....hat in Ehren aktiv gedient",which leads me to believe this is a regular commemorativ sheet for having done service time in a regular unit.

I concur with Mr. Rosenberg?s reading of the document.

Perhaps this chart is of some use in further decyphering the document?
