ilclifton Posted February 16, 2019 Posted February 16, 2019 Hello, I need your help to identify this tab. It should be SAS in Balkans are. But original or not ? thanks
ilclifton Posted February 17, 2019 Author Posted February 17, 2019 No comments ? It is so bad that nobody likes to comment ?
badjez Posted February 19, 2019 Posted February 19, 2019 Never seen or heard of such a title so would treat it with caution. Why would SAS troops working behind enemy lines have this sort of badge made? If anything they would have worn a Land Forces Adriatic formation sign. Try going onto the British & Commonwealth Badge Forum to see if any of their experts can help? Stephen.
ilclifton Posted February 19, 2019 Author Posted February 19, 2019 I found this http://www.insigne.org/OSS-3OG.htm
Tony Posted February 20, 2019 Posted February 20, 2019 I can't help with your question but going by the link it appears to be a US unit insignia rather than British.
Chris Boonzaier Posted February 20, 2019 Posted February 20, 2019 I am no expert (best introduction to enter as thread! ) ... but I do not like the Bullion work... it looks very loose
Delta21 Posted January 30, 2021 Posted January 30, 2021 As pointed out above, this badge is for an American OSS Operational Group (OG) deployed in Greece during WWII - nothing to do with the British SAS.
