Brig Posted May 19, 2019 Posted May 19, 2019 I picked this up with an assortment of pins, mostly Austrian. I am assuming there was once a crest in the center. Really cool badge with a button hole type device on the rear. Can anyone tell me more about it?
Gordon Craig Posted May 20, 2019 Posted May 20, 2019 Brig, I would suggest that you contact the owner of this site and ask if he recognizes your badge. Looks Austrian to me. Regards, Gordon https://polizeiabzeichen.jimdo.com/

Bayern Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 Hello, Bundespolizei is the Austrian Police , and Hoherer polizeidienst means Superior Police service the Upper class of Police functionaires, The badge is probably destined to use with civilian dress . regarding the German connection , Its true that in Germany exists a Bundespolizei but it was created in 2005 from the Old Bundesgrenzschutz . and the badge looks older
Brig Posted May 27, 2019 Author Posted May 27, 2019 Thanks for the info...definitely older with the nice patina and enamel, so much be Austrian
Bayern Posted May 28, 2019 Posted May 28, 2019 Brig , Switzerland is also a Federation , Bundes in German ,but the Federal Police there is named Bundesamt fur Polizei
