Ribbon Bar with Italian Bravery Medal and Lifesaving Medal

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I could just acquire this nice ribbon bar with the Italian "Al Valore" medal.

I think the fourth ribbon is the Lifesaving Medal and not the Schutzwallehrenzeichen, but I cannot say it for 100%.

Any chance to ID this one? I had a look through a list with German "Al Valore" medal bearers, but could not find an exact match.

I guess there were less Army/Navy members with the "Al Valore" medal than Luftwaffe members?

All the best,

Nicolas

Is the ribbon in position 6 the one you are calling the Italian bravery medal?  Is that because of its special tone of blue?  I think the ribbon in position 4 looks like the Westwall Medal more than the bravery medal.  Nice looking bar by the way. 👍

    • Sounds great other than the Orange & Mango squash only because I prefer cran-pomegranate juice.

    • At work the standard indian tea such as PG tips is referred to as chimp tea. This goes back to the days when we had a Spanish girl working for us whose command of the English language was extremely limited. One lunch she said she was going to the shop could she get anything. I asked if she could get a pack of tea bags. She returned with some disgusting herbal concoction. I tried to explain what was required but without success. I then remembered PG tips had a picture of a chimpanzee on the packe
