1812 Overture
Dear collectors, I suddenly discovered recently (perhaps I am usually too careless) that the text in the middle of the Italian crown breast star is slightly different. I would like to ask your opinions, which one is an earlier version? The eagle of this order clings to the disc This eagle wants to fly away Looking forward to your reply. . In addition, neither of these orders is my collection.
Elmar Lang
Hello, any maker's mark to the reverse of the two stars? By the way, differences in the text on the white enameled outer circlet do occur. Looking at the quality/finish of the two stars, I'd dare to say that the first one is elder than the second piece shown. All the best, Enzo (E.L.) Wessel Gordon
Is the difference in color between the two due to lighting, aging or different medals used?
