UKR - Posted February 7, 2020 Posted February 7, 2020 Hi Is the document genuine? Previously, I have not seen such a form of blank.
hucks216 Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 It looks ok. The KvK citation comes in many different forms. It is signed by Friedrich Herrlein.
UKR - Posted February 10, 2020 Author Posted February 10, 2020 (edited) Unusually thick paper. And so, yes, signed Herrlein, rewarding with a cross for the Vitebsk operation, in particular battles for the Gorodok. Edited February 10, 2020 by UKR -
hucks216 Posted February 10, 2020 Posted February 10, 2020 He would of been awarded it for his efforts with the medical unit behind the front and it could of been for efforts over an extended period of time rather than for just a single battle.
UKR - Posted February 10, 2020 Author Posted February 10, 2020 Possibly. But it seems to me that the awarded was not directly subordinate to the medical service, but was related to the service of evacuating the wounded from the front line. A cross with swords is indicated, and this, it seems to me, indicates the fulfillment of the task in direct fire contact. At that time, the division was attacked from different angles and often from the offensive, units of the division went on the defensive.
