Charles1856 Posted September 1, 2020 Posted September 1, 2020 Hello, I need some help in identifying the regiment that this 1856 pattern Victorian drummers/buglers sword belonged to. As seen in the picture printed on the side of the handle is " 2 RM 157 6.88" . Any help will be much appreciated.
Stuka f Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Hello, any chance to see the entyre item, please?
peter monahan Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 (edited) '2nd Battalion, Royal Marines; [rack number] 157; [issued/on the books] June/1888' ??? It would be interesting to see if the RM bands wore Victorian dress into the 20th century, as is not uncommon for bands. Edited September 2, 2020 by peter monahan
