    Greetings,

I recently picked up this ribbon bar with a lot of insignia at a local show. I was wondering how common this very small (16mm) size of ek2 spange is. Also, is the red and white middle ribbon from the Condor Legion in the Spanish Civil War? If so, this guy paid his dues! This was brought back by a Canadian Vet, who also had various insignia that I will post later. Any opinions on this bar, ribbon and ek2 spange?

    Thanks,

    Pat

The reverse, the funny colouring is from the shiny metal reflecting off my scanner. The ribbon does not glow under blacklight, by the way.

    Hello Pat,

Looks like the WWI Hanseatic Cross from Hamburg to me.

    Cheers,

    Hendrik

    Thanks Hendrik and Stogieman,

Any chance on tracking down the owner on this one? Or is it probably to common a combination to find? I just posted on my other thread on ribbon bars about seeking info on how to trace these and it goes ditto for this piece. Of course, any help by the pros like Rick Research and Stogie is always welcome as well in ID'ing the owner, but any tips on how to track down the soldier down would be really helpful for future reference.

    Cheers,

    Pat
