Antonio Prieto Posted December 11, 2021 Posted December 11, 2021 (edited) Anyone can identify or know the name of this Japanese general, perhaps one of the decorated in 1907 by King Alfonso XIII after the Russo-Japanese war of 1904-1905? Among others show a Spanish Grand Cross of the Military merit order with red badge I'm also looking for images of the following: General Fuyie, Chief of EM of the 1st Army. Brigadier General Toyosaburo Ochiai. Brigadier General Kosuke Ijichi, Chief of EM of the 3rd Army. Brigadier General Naomichi Osako. General Nagata, head of the Independent Field Artillery Brigade in the 3rd Army. Lieutenant Colonel of Artillery, of the General Staff Service Jenjiro Ishiskaka. Captain of Engineers S. Shibau. Thank you Edited December 11, 2021 by Antonio Prieto complete
Antonio Prieto Posted December 14, 2021 Author Posted December 14, 2021 The correct name of the Chief of Staff of the 1st Army is Shigeta Fujii not Fuyie. Sorry.
Marcon1 Posted December 16, 2021 Posted December 16, 2021 Shigeta Fujii Kosuke Ijichi Toyosaburo Ochiai Naomichi Osako Also found a picture of a man named Nagata, but without his first name not sure if it is him. Just go to Google images and enter their name(s) and see for yourself. Marcon1.
Antonio Prieto Posted December 16, 2021 Author Posted December 16, 2021 Thank you Yes I kown this images. The ideal for my work would be to find images where the Grand Cross of the Order of Military Merit could be seen, like this one of General Fujii that I have finally found
1812 Overture Posted December 18, 2021 Posted December 18, 2021 You may need the help of the mysterious power of the East~ I don’t think it’s the person you’re looking for, but they do wear the Spanish Military Merit Cross Order. I have some pictures of Japanese people wearing the Saint Charles order. Do you still need them?
Antonio Prieto Posted December 18, 2021 Author Posted December 18, 2021 Thank you for the images The first, with the japanese letters (Any can translate?) wear the Cross with red badge The other with white badge
1812 Overture Posted December 18, 2021 Posted December 18, 2021 It is written in Chinese, and it is given to "Friends of Odagiri". Next to it is the date. The 37th year of Meiji is 1904, the year when the Russo-Japanese War broke out. It didn't introduce who this Japanese is. .
Antonio Prieto Posted December 18, 2021 Author Posted December 18, 2021 Thank you again I believe that the Odagiri Masanosuke, is the Japanese consul-general in Shanghai, during this confilct
1812 Overture Posted December 19, 2021 Posted December 19, 2021 So can you tell me the difference between red and white winners? I have visited some German medal bars. Some Germans won in white and some in red. They were all awarded during the Spanish Civil War. Why not all of them were red?
Antonio Prieto Posted December 19, 2021 Author Posted December 19, 2021 (edited) The cross is enameled red when it is awarded for war merit, and white when it is awarded for other services. The ribbon is of red silk with a central white list for the red cross and with the same inverted colors for the white cross. See some items at: https://coleccionesmilitares.com/medallas/texto/omm18751939.htm ommgca13.pjp Edited December 19, 2021 by Antonio Prieto
