Kvart
Does any of you guy recognize this Swedish medal? The three crowns on the top are the same as the reserve officers association's medal of honor. But the rest is very different. The reverse is plain. larsb001
Hi Kvart, first, I don't know! But I normally use Christian Braunsteins excellent guide of O&D that can be worn on Swedish uniforms. https://sfhm.se/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/sfhm-skriftserie-utmarkelsetecken-pa-militara-uniformer-christian-braunstein-2007.pdf As it is not listed in that guide which covers official and semi-official decorations it's either issued after 2007 (when the guide was written) or more likely a non official Society decoration which makes identification much more difficult - unless you have the exact knowledge - I hope our Swedish members can be more helpful. Kvart
Thank you for answer, Lars. Braunstein has been consulted, his work is the first go-to-place for Swedish awards, at least after medalj.nu closed down. I think it is a non-official society award, maybe related to artillery. Becomes almost impossible to ID the correct ribbon then.
JohanH
Hello! I can't help you to ID the medal, but it's most likely from the coastal artillery (Kustartilleriet). As you say, probably a non-official society.
Kvart
I have now learned it is the badge (medal) of merit from the Gunners' union of Norrland's Artillery, an older variant.
