BalkanCollector Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 The 32nd Zagorje Division of the Yugoslav Army badge (1945), commemorating 2 years of the unit's formation in December 1943. The badge was worn on the left breast pocket but soldiers often wore it over the pocket. The photo examples are in the next few posts. Here's the badge from my collection:
BalkanCollector Posted January 10, 2022 Author Posted January 10, 2022 Here's one example of the correct wear. The photo is from the book Moje selo partizansko (My Partisan Village) by Dragutin Mrkoci and this is him as an officer. Judging by everything, the photo was taken somewhere between December 1945 and 1946.
BalkanCollector Posted January 10, 2022 Author Posted January 10, 2022 Two more examples from the same book. The first photo shows the correct wear and in the second one, we can see the potporučnik (second lieutenant) wearing it incorrectly.
BalkanCollector Posted January 10, 2022 Author Posted January 10, 2022 Another one from the forum paluba.info. An officer wearing the badge above the pocket.
Drugo Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 That's an interesting badge I haven't noticed before, thanks!
BalkanCollector Posted January 13, 2022 Author Posted January 13, 2022 Thank you for the interest! If you come across photos of soldiers wearing this badge, please share them here.
BalkanCollector Posted May 26, 2022 Author Posted May 26, 2022 Here's another one. This time a pin from 1951 commemorating 8 years since the formation of the 32nd Division. The pin is significantly smaller than the badge from 1946.
