Johnny R Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 (edited) I just bought this today. I believe the shoulder boards are DR 19 (?) which would not be correct for a dragoon jacket the black piping. According to references I have on hand, black edging with nickel buttons would be worn by officers in Dragoon Rgts 6, 18, or 22. I would like to ask if this is correct please before restoring the uniform or removing the shoulder boards. Thank you for your time. Edited August 28, 2022 by Johnny R
dwmosher Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 Johnny Don't touch a thing! It is a perfect officer's 1897 pattern Litewka for DR 19. It is not a 1915 pattern Klienerrock... Dave

It was on auction with a very brief description.
Johnny R Posted August 28, 2022 Author Posted August 28, 2022 Thank you, I nrmally collect WWII era uniforms. This will be used in forthcoming book on WWII era German dress unforms to show the evolution of the idea and types of uniforms used in semi-formal and casual occasions.
