Graf Posted May 3, 2023 Posted May 3, 2023 Welcome on board Did you have any question regarding the photo or just list it because you like it Regards
Paul Morgan Posted May 15, 2023 Author Posted May 15, 2023 I was interested in identifying the German uniform. The photograph was taken in 1944 in Poland.
2dresq Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 Looks like the middle man is wearing a luftwaffe tunic ( you can see the eagle is of that style). The Far right soldier It looks like a heer of I dare say a Kriegsmarine Coastal Artillery jacket. Now the resolution of the photo will make it extremely hard to say for certain.
Paul Morgan Posted September 3, 2023 Author Posted September 3, 2023 Many thanks for your thoughts on this.
Gordon Craig Posted September 7, 2023 Posted September 7, 2023 The Luftwaffe soldier appears to be wearing the Luftwaffe Fliegerbluse type tunic. The buttons are not visible on this type of tunic. There were two types of Fliegerbluse. Early or late but from this photo it is not possible to tell which one he is wearing. The other two soldiers are wearing Heer tunics but again it is not possible to tell with any certainty what type they are. The photo could be from late in the war as the two members of the Heer are wearing their collars open. Or that could be just because they are home. Regards, Gordon
