Kleinepanzerfaust Posted March 8 Posted March 8 Hi all "Full" badge. The swastika, sword and ear of corn are not cut out. The clasp is reversed. What do you think about it? Regards!
--dj--Joe Posted March 10 Posted March 10 I continue to wander off to see what my example looks like and get distracted. I will locate it. If I recall correctly their are two different sword blade shapes for these membership pins. --dj--Joe
--dj--Joe Posted March 10 Posted March 10 Or perhaps it is two different sword hilt shapes? Located a couple of links with some images. and --dj--Joe
Scowen Posted March 11 Posted March 11 Indeed, you are correct Joe, I had forgotten about the different types of hilt. However what worries me is the filled in centre spaces, I'm sure that all the ones that I've seen have been cut out? It is unfortunate that the background colour matches the spaces in the obverse picture so it is not so noticeable....
--dj--Joe Posted March 11 Posted March 11 Hi Don. I noticed the no cutouts. So far I have not come across another example exactly like the one shown. I also note Munchen as opposed to the normally seen Munch. I wonder what a side by side comparison of the lettering would show? It appears the non cutouts are darkened on the obverse. --dj--Joe
Kleinepanzerfaust Posted March 14 Author Posted March 14 Hi ! Thank you for your interest in the topic. I cleaned up the dark spots where the cutouts should have been. They are silver, just like the entire badge, apart from the sword and the ear of corn, of course.Unfortunately, it's hard to see in the photo. I'm not a very good photographer. Regards !
Kleinepanzerfaust Posted March 16 Author Posted March 16 Hi Does not attract a magnet. It is made of aluminum, except for the clasp, of course Regards
--dj--Joe Posted March 24 Posted March 24 I have yet to locate another example like yours. Difficult to imagine there are not more out there like it. 🔍 --dj--Joe
--dj--Joe Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Saw a like example on Germania International. Different pin and pin retaining plate.
Kleinepanzerfaust Posted April 19 Author Posted April 19 Hi Do you have a link to this example? Regards
