Denmark Denmark - how they wear the sashes

when i saw this pic, i was quiet amazed, as i ever expected, that the sash is worn down from the shoulder and not around the stomach.

but perhaps someone else knows more!

Maybe it slipped down because there isn't enough "there" to hold it UP?

Or, since the Elephant Order sash is sky blue, the Crown Princess is wearing the star only.

so you think its only the breast star - because i thought that the blue sash is around the stomach (marked it red) - or is it a part of his dress?

I don't know the protocol of wearing the star only in Denmark. The prince is wearing no sashes but two stars, so I assume that the occasion is less formal than one requiring sash and star.

The princess is Australian by birth, as I recall, so they may just be happy she's not in bush gear.

In any case, her dress, which is all it is, isn't the proper color for the Elephant sash. I am constantly amazed at the conslusions some people seem to want to jump to in the absence of any evidence at all.

The sash from the order of the Elefant is worn from the left shoulder tot the right site, the Order of the Danebrog is worn from the right shoulder tot the left side
