    Hi,

I can see from the discussions here that there are some very knowledgeable militaria folks here, I hope someone can help.

With the recent passing of my mother in law the family have had to clear many years worth of saved treasures and memories. One item we have found is a cap badge.

My father in law served in the RAF during the 1950’s. One of his tours was in the North Africa region. Sadly we cannot find any service papers that may point to whether it was Egypt, Libya or possibly Aden.

We are guessing that he was given or perhaps swapped the cap badge with a serviceman from the region he was stationed in. I have tried image searches and other tools with no success. I am guessing that the script is Arabic but I am not even sure about that.

So folks can anyone out there identify this cap badge so that the family solve this puzzle.

    Many thanks

    Terry

    izzetafox,

I believe this is a Jordanian cap badge.  I've seen it identified for sale as an army beret badge or as police cap badge.  I believe it to be an army badge.
