svapr Posted Friday at 15:37 Posted Friday at 15:37 Dear, I found on Internet an interesting set of decorations of the Serbian Colonel Vojislav Anđelković. Colonel Vojislav Anđelković (1880-1979) was a graduate of the Military Academy, an officer in the army of the Kingdom of Serbia and the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes, a participant in the Balkan Wars and the First World War. For his military merits, he was awarded numerous domestic and foreign orders and decorations. In the Battle of Kara Sinan in Bulgaria, where he showed exceptional courage in the fight against the enemy. After the Battle of Kara Sinan and Kokardzha in 1916, Major Anđelković received the Miloš Obilič Medal for Bravery. In the Great War, he went through many difficult battles: the Battle of Kolubara, experienced a retreat through Albania..., for which he received other orders and medals, e.g. the Order of St. Sava, the Medal for Bravery of Miloš Obilič, Romanian, Russian, Greek, French war decorations. Subsequently, Anđelković passed through Italy, France and England, and finally reached Russia, where he sought volunteers willing to wage war on the Serbian side against Austria-Hungary. After the war, he participated in peace talks about the future form of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. At that time, he also received the Czechoslovak Order of the White Lion, 3rd degree and the Czechoslovak War Cross. Vojislav Anđelković died at the blessed age of 99. 3
