    I aquirred a large amount of Soviet Certificate etc. etc. and in the pile was this,

    I dont have clue what it is it has the number 132 on it and it is dated 1892.

    If any body could shed any light on what it is and how much could be worh would be usefull.

    I will endevour to get a beter pic tomorrow once my camera reacharges.

    Can't read a distant angled dark plastic covered camera shot. You need a scanner. (an EPSON scanner)

    All I can see is that it is some sort of school certificate from the city of Zhitomir.

    It is the report card attesting that one Stratonik Meoidiev Sharavsky, born in Levkovsky 13 January 1880 has completed courses as attested 13 September 1892 (so at age 12) by the Pedagogical Council of Zhitomir's Second Class City School.

    I have trouble with the old Church Slavonic, since that was dumped for modern Russian soon after the Revolution and a number of characters were dropped and letters changed. I may be old, but I am not THAT old!!!!

    Thanks Rick, I have a whole book on designs of Russian Orthodox Churches 1864 - cant quite seethe rest in old Church Slavonic :jumping: If I Mange to get it down I may see if there is a guide in there.

    Now were can I find a translator of Old Russian?

    Any idea of value?
