Gentlemen,

i have this ORB, which turned out unresearchable and i plan to trade it for another one. The other person in this trade asked me to put this ORB up for discussion and post some pictures, what is IMO very recommendable in these times of endless fakes.

So please le me/us know, what you think.

If it turned out to be a fake, I would say it is a very good one! I think in my own opinion that there is no problem with that one, but I am no specialist.

This order is 100% real. Take a look at a close neighbor

Well, if somebody told you that order is "unresearcable" doesn't mean it is fake. There are at least 3 possible explanations.

1. This order was awarded to NAVY person. They have separate archive from Army arcive in Podolsk.

2. This order was awarded to NKVD person. They have separate archive as well.

3. Person who was looking for that number simply didn't fina the citation. It could be missing, could be placed in a wrong folder, under a wrong letter and so on...

Andrew, thanks for the reply Yours is absolutely the same, down to the maker mark and the style of the serialnumber. They were most probably both engraved in the same hour

You are right, its very likely one of the possibilities, you mentioned.
