greg.hays Posted July 8, 2006 Posted July 8, 2006 Here is one for everyone, I am hoping Ed or one of our other exotic buffs will have a clue. I figure it has to be from the middle east or gulf region but I really don't know. Looks like some kind of training medal for navy pilots maybe?

JBFloyd Posted July 8, 2006 Posted July 8, 2006 Essentially a World War II service medal, for services against the Japanese occupation.Thailand was allied with the Japanese at the beginning of WWII, and allowed Japanese forces free access in exchange for assitance in recovery of disputed territories. As the war progressed, however, the Thais got tired of the Japanese attitude toward them and started to resist, forming an underground that worked with the allies.
greg.hays Posted July 8, 2006 Author Posted July 8, 2006 Well, thank you much guys! That was quick and very very informative.....she will be added to my WWII section.
