Hi,

the seller was not shtting you, this did belong to a RK winner. his name was Ernst Petzold and he won the RK as a bomber pilot. Towards the end of the war his unit was retrained as Fighter pilots for the Reichsdefence.

Tom Young here on the forum has some photos of him. I had thought you had dissapeared off the face of the earth so I passed them on to him. i will point him here and he can post them.

I had the jacket, a few photos and a backpack. The group was split up at some stage and a guy I know is still trying to reunite the documents.
