Time to make a separate thread completely devoted to these little treasures The following two pieces could be the most beautiful 1895 war commemorative awards I ever saw. Also there are commemorative jettons (sometimes in the form of medals - what made them practically indistinguishable from previous class) which could be bought by "fervent patriots". Dated from 1894. Issued by Miyagi Prefecture Noble Warriors Military Association. But I am not so sure that it`s connected with C-J war...
