LarryT Posted April 5, 2016 Author Posted April 5, 2016 (edited) Hi Martin, My photo is the same sepia colour as yours. I desaturated the colour when I scanned it. It is printed on an Agfa postcard and is discoloured around the edges. As you know copies were made and sent to comrades, family etc. Probably what happened here. Another portrait in my collection: An Obergefreiter wearing a Coastal Artillery badge. I am not an expert on trade and qualification insignia so is it unusual to see a Unterpersonal der Stabe (Staff NCO) and a Bootsmann (Boatswain) patch worn with a CA badge? Also the extra chevron sewn under his Obergefreiter stripes is to show he is awaiting a promotion? Cheers, Larry Edited April 5, 2016 by LarryT
