    1. Hello, I am not a collector of German items usually, but when it is related to my Soviet collection, I have some interest. So, I picked-up those two items in Ukraine in L'viv (L'vov or Lemberg in German). I was told they were from the period of the occupation of Ukraine by Germany and they were accompanying Nazi police ID... I would appreciate any information you can have about them because I was not able to find anything on internet. From the little I understand (or think I understand!) the oval one is for Gestapo (Secret State Police) and the round one for the Secret Field police? On wikipedia, they say this about the Oberkommando Der Heeres The Oberkommando des Heeres (OKH) was Germany's Army High Command from 1936 to 1945. In theory the Oberkommando der Wehrmacht (OKW) commanded the OKH. However, the de facto situation after 1941 was that the OKW directly commanded operations on the Western front while the OKH commanded the Russian front. Here is the Secret field police (obverse) Diameter is around 45mm, thickness around 3mm
    2. Written 9 June 1945 by Boris Emanuilovich Labkovekiy to his daughter Lida Borisovna Labkovekoy in Dniepropetrovsk to congratulate her for getting the "Best Worker of Sanitary Service" badge. Also discuss of arrangements for her to visit him in Dvinsk (now Daugavpils, Latvia). Sorry for the very poor quality... I had to resize it with Microsoft Editor... I am not on my regular computer and don't have other tools.
    3. Written 11 February 1944 by Alexei Nikolayevich Ipatov to his wife Ekatarina Antonovna Ipatova in Leningrad. Ipatov who is now fighting more than 100km from Leningrad has well recovered from his wound. He writes that he was lucky that the bullet went near the top of his head. Otherwise, if it went lower, he would not be alive. His unit is progressing very rapidly and the 'Fritzes' (Germans) are running away so quickly that they can almost not get them. But when they surround and catch them, they are resisting fiercely.
    4. Here is one of my WW2 letter... not on nice decorated paper like Sergey's ones, but still interesting.
    5. While not from Moscow park, I have a nice photo of a Lenin statue from Yalta in the heart of the town near the sea. I thought it might be a good occasion to share it with members.
    6. Hello, I doubt it is Estonian since, as you surely know, Estonia was not part of USSR until 1940-41 and then from 1944-1991. It seems to be related to the 50th year anniversary of the creation of USSR (Russian SFSR, Transcaucasian SFSR, Ukrainian SSR, Belorussian SSR) in 1922. Other than that I have no clue. I have never seen this badge before.

So here is an updated full list of English translation of the Soviet Constitutions. 1918 Soviet Constitution (RSFSR) http://www.marxists.org/history/ussr/gover.../1918/index.htm 1924 Soviet Constitution http://users.cyberone.com.au/myers/ussr1924.html 1936 Soviet Constitution http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1936_Soviet_Constitution http://www.departments.bucknell.edu/russia...st/1936toc.html 1977 Soviet Constitution http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1977_Soviet_Constitution http://www.departments.bucknell.edu/russia...st/1977toc.html Interesting historical documents (and the 1918 constitution) http://www.marxists.org/history/ussr/government/index.htm
    9. I just registered on the russian auction website molotok.ru If I try to bid on an item, I get this message every time. It seems to say "in connection with infringement corrected the Internet-auction your access is temporarily limited: you cannot submit applications for purchase." Original Russian message: В связи с нарушением правил интернет-аукциона Ваш доступ временно ограничен: Вы не можете подавать заявки на покупку. Is the problem with my account only? Or is it with the website and any users? I cannot even "discuss a lot" using the website's forum because of the same problem. Do I need to do additional steps after registering to be allowed to bid? do I have to add money in my "account"? I am planning to have someone meet the seller in person and pay cash so I hope I don't have to deposit money there. Anyway, If a member of that website can check with his own account if everything works fine and let me know it would really be appreciated. Thanks in advance. matteti
    10. Senior Lieutenant Voyi..... Pietr (Petr) Iosifovich I cannot make his last name. Sorry.
    11. And reverse... The weird dark "purple" color is a scan effect.
    12. Thanks for posting them Order of Victory. I have many other gramota and spravka for action in GPW... when I have time, I will email you more of them if you want to post them again. Etienne
    13. Sure, please send me your email and I will email you back the images of some gramota I have. Thanks.
    14. Order of Glory, how did you attach image larger than 65Kb. I would like to post some of my gramota, but making them smaller than 65kb would really limit what we can see. Thanks.
    15. Yes, for a reason (laziness?), this seller is selling multiple similar items all using the same pictures. I understand it can be long to scan each individual documents, but at least, she could specify in the listing that the document will be similar to, but not the specific one shown in the listing. I also bought the sport document and badge you posted in the first post of that thread... it was published with the exact same photo as the one you posted. Then, as soon as I bought it, I saw it listed again and again... all with the same picture. The seller is honnest and everything seems legit (from what I have bought and received so far), the only problem is that people (including me) might expect to receive the item they saw in the listing, not a "similar one".
    16. Hello NavyFCO, How do you get the original award card? I just get bad quality photocopies.
