    6. Ludwig Ganghofer (1855 - 1920) was awarded the Iron Cross second class for his work as a voluntary war correspondent from 1915 to 1917.     7. I agree - the medals do look original and so does the bar itself. The ribbons look very fresh and a bit off color (probably the picture) but appear to be original in weave and material. The two Gefechts-Spangen make sense in their combination. However, I can not comment on their originality. Let's wait for more input from others.
