this is what I call a type II ,retained the rigid, one-piece plastic frame with the addition of an elastic strap instead of the conventional arms. again, IMO, 3 sizes (here,as usual a "2") - not sure if they came in Cloth bags,alu cans or cardboard cases Makermark ( NiGuRa ) I called a long time LW collector (mostly equipment) as I thought type II never had clear lenses, he told me I was wrong and honestly I tend to agree as for us it is only a matter of time to find clear lenses on type II

Not a rule but an info: one of the original pair of type 1 that I know came in a cardbox (no text on it)

I believe that the mistake not to make is to mix everything. We need to go step by step in order to avoid the regular confusion and that, IMO, start by why such glasses, then the description of type 1 + pics (actual and then), after type 2 etc,etc ..... Is there a particular eason why the date on the document is 1.939, did you ever see this particularity on other doc? Do you think there is a possility of a Spanish doc made or filled in Germany?

Post # 57 from Jos shows Oberleutnant der Reserve Woidich, Franz * 02.01.1921 Znaim/M?hren + 05.07.2004 Ritterkreuz am: 11.06.1944 als: Leutnant der Reserve Funktion: Flugzeugf?hrer 3./JG 52 Unit pins are the one for JG 52, a winged sword on a red and black shield. Intriduced in June 1940, latest about until 1943, Bf 109E, F & G. Not syre about the other one, staffel unit or JFS pin.

Michael cypher Pilot badge (Romania)

emblem of NJG The famous "Englandblitz" of a diving eagle clutching a bolt f lightning descending upon a map of Britain. Originally it was not a night fighter emblem at all but was devised by Victor M?lders, brother of Werner, while he was member of 1./ZG 1 in 1940. He took the emblem with him when he moved to the night fighters in June that year - Do217, He 219, Ju 88, Bf 110. * Note, this is the same pin than the one shown by Jos on post 55
