    1. Hi , What was the last award authorised before the fall of the wall , was it the 30 year of the DDR ?
    2. Hello All, Some quick questions for you DDR experts ! : 1 Did snipers in the DDR have specialist badges or patches to show this ? 2 Were DDR snipers armed with the Dragunov sniper rifle ? 3 Was there special equipment for them ? Any pics would be great ! Cheers !
    3. Hi All , Some of you may have had contact with me as i used to collect 1957 awards , i sold most of these for a bike and i,m thinking of getting back into medal collecting to match my budget (i.e. Skint ) so i thought East German as these are still quite cheap . SO can anyone hold my hand and tell me a good english reference book on medals and a good dealer /s you can get good East German awards from . All i have at the moment is a helmet camo cover , MP cover and a flag . Cheers Grant

    6. The easiest way to tell at a glance is the thinner leaver and seperate acorns on the early 1st type core and the fat leaves and the acorns stuck to the leaves on the later 2nd type core .
    7. Ingsoc has it the wrong way round this is the later core . Yep if it has the L/12 it,s a duffer , there,s a guy in Germany churning these out and stating they are Junker crosses . Here is an early cross core for comparison :
    8. Yep i still have a few to sell , ill pm you with the details . Anything in particular your interested in ?
    9. Nice just hope it,s a decent read as well as some good pics . If someone snags a copy please post a couple of pics on this thread ! Nice find David !
    10. S & L was the main player in the 1957 market they produced every type of 1957 award from their inception right up to the shiny crap churned out recently . Deumer and Assman produced a few early awards awards mainly using wartime parts and usually maker marked these were by and large bought by the vets who wanted to wear them .
    11. It is a Deumer , nice piece and sought after . I,ve just sold one with the maker mark .
    12. Eitze thats a very nice navy bar with combat clasp As for your second one
    13. I have seen this before , all i can think is that either the vet had the Panzer and added it or the jeweller that made it up had a look through his stock and could only find a leftover WW2 piece and took the swastika off .
    14. I also have a few others including an RK bar which i am parting with .
    15. Navy i,ve sold the bottom one , the top one is on Ebay .
