Hi Sergey, I have seen the badges in museums in Germany & Austia. Unfortunately I did not take photos of them, however here is a similar badge that was offered for sale some time ago which was listed as war time. As you can see it is similar but not exactly the same. I will see if I can find anymore pictures. Also there is a period poster which shows the badge, but again not exactly the same. Cheers Don

That is indeed a shame, another reason why I stay away from pole tops & such, I don't know anything about them. But now that you mention it, the Swaz on all the NSBO pins etc I've seen are always static & not mobile, I'd never noticed it before. Cheers Don

The badge certainly existed without the Swastika & the are many pictures of it in wear, however none of them so far have ever shown the version with the Swastika. Also from what I understand, the Red Cross Organisation would never allow the Swastika to be placed directly on the red cross symbol. If you check the various DRK badges, the Swaz is alway on the eagle, never the red cross. The Red Cross Organisation had a fair amount of influence over Hitler, as I seem to recal that the reason that the Social Welfare award was introduced was because the Red Cross were upset that Hilter was awarding the DRK awards to so many people it felt should not have received it. These badges with the Swaz (shown above) are believed to have been made by Floch in Austria in the 1970's. Cheers Don

Hi Pete, When these were discussed over on WAF last year it was suggested that it could be for the Baltische Landswehr, but it wasn't confirmed as far as I can remember. I'm sure this is shown in the "Unknown" section of the new Hüsken??? Cheers Don

Hi Sergey, Thank you for posting this, I was hoping that someone would have one I have only seen this badge with this maker mark once before, several years ago, & it was (& may still be) owned by a collector in Denmark. Good morning Sergey. An interesting & controversial badge you have posted. This is considered by many collectors to be a fantasy badge based on the very rare 3/204 Himmighausen badge (see below) which was shown in the period Assmann catalogue. A very big RAD collector in Germany named Michael Jonas believes that the 4/305 Braunschweig badges are genuine prototype examples, however many other collectors now feel that they are fantasy/fake.
