For ages I have thought of these as MGSSA badges, but I just recieved a photo of a regular infantry regt MGK and they all have it (or most of them) Can it be that it is a graduation badge from the MG school and not for folks attached to a MGSSA ?

Finally, after ages of looking I have landed my WW1 tunic. Not an issue one, which is a pity, but therefore an identifiable one, and 1a mint... which I did not think existed for WW1 jackets. Hi, Jack just happened to have the Info, he is a writer on western front battles. Wrote a classic book on the german troops on the Somme. Any guess what he probably had on his ribbon bar in 1917? Looks like 3-4 ribbons. I am really excited to get his jacket!!!

What makes this one overly sexy is that the guy on the doc was actually in Brandis Unit in WW1 as a senior NCO and awarded the EK1. Enjoy this rare treat :-)

I wanted to give in a max bid of EUR25 on a letter on ebay... made an error and gave in EUR250 :-((((( I got it for EUR55. Strange thing is, I got 5-6 separate letters to the officer from Generals for EUR2-3 a piece. What is so special about Major Barensfeld of (Bayr.Res.-Fu?artillerie-Reg.Nr.1) that makes some eeeeeejit knowingly bid EUR55 on it??? Is it worth my EUR55 or should I cry? Thanks Chris
