    1. Its not their fault, so maybe leave them with the medal and introduce a retroactive ribbon device "P" for probation, or "L" for learner ? Why does the mint issue medals directly??
    2. Hi, I dont know who owns the Photo at the moment, but Rick owned his scan of it, and he was a key player in sharing, sharing and sharing again when it came to research. I am sure he will not haunt you for continuing that research!
    3. Hi, I am guessing different Criteria? Silver Karl Friedrich for Bravery, the Small gold medal for Service (on the Karl Friedrich ribbon for Military)? Feldwebel duties etc? Both examples I have seen are for Feldwebel, so not really combattant.

    11. HI, that seems to be logical, I have a private tunic sold by them, I never thought about it but there is no reason why they could not have supplied bayonets. I would guess double marked with the maker as well?
