Hi, I am guessing different Criteria? Silver Karl Friedrich for Bravery, the Small gold medal for Service (on the Karl Friedrich ribbon for Military)? Feldwebel duties etc? Both examples I have seen are for Feldwebel, so not really combattant.

HI, that seems to be logical, I have a private tunic sold by them, I never thought about it but there is no reason why they could not have supplied bayonets. I would guess double marked with the maker as well?

Hi, If provable it would be a very interesting fact, at the moment it seems to be a very interesting theory. I would be very interested in seeing any backup information as I am sceptical ... it may be correct, but it would be something totally off the wall methinks....
