    4. In Zöberleins book he mentions being promised the EK, but then not getting it because some NCOs who were in the field for longer needed it, and were first priority. I did a stat from a pile of books and the average soldier needed 21 months in the field to get one. Best Chris

    15. What a potentially interesting but totally frustrating document!! Basically it says "he participated in all the battles of the 1st Landwehr Company of the 7th Pionier Battalion....." but I am bggered if I can find any list of their battels, or where they were attached!
