The broken ones were replaced with fixed ones, a hat and dagger were added to the group, the only original pic of him was removed and a bunch of bogus ones added...

These were often a "Buy your own" deal... but were popular to pad the medal bar.... the Hungarian one was accompanied by a letter asking the reicipient to bring some friends to apply...

IMHO very hard to say.... if a maker was a Quality fanatic he could make heavy pieces from 1914-1934 or even later....

I had veeery little success finding things in South America... in Chile and Peru I found Nothing (Although there was an antique Mal I found in Chile with veeery expansive odds and ends) Was a little lucky in Colombia... but waaay more South American medals to be found in Europe! -
Ooooohhh... you do it with some weed and a bottle of Tequila! I like!!! :-)
