    1. Just for your records before I erase it from my computer...
    2. I know, I know.... I posted this years ago... Here is a "secret" report about the sexually transmitted disease statistics of the 3rd U-Boot Flottile in La Rochelle... I thought it would win the prize for the most off the wall u-Boot item ;-9
    3. Look how, intead of doinga new doc because of the cockup, they made a change, stamped and signed it
    4. let your imagination run wild here, before and after photos would be welcome as well.
    5. So... how about this for an idea... a thread comprising of all items, of all nations that were used in Normandy. Medals awarded for, uniforms worn in, photos taken in , maps used in... And if possible, if you know something about the piece, a bit of the history behind it? This was a jacket from a local 12th SS HJ man who served in Normandy, I am not sure that he wore this exact jacket while there, but I am assuming so.
    6. Unfortunately looong gone, but I liked this one :-)
    7. Here for example is a suggestion by the police to release a large anount of rebels because they actually did not even know what they were doing, maritz having tricked them.
    8. This cross was to a legionCondor pilot, killed in the war..... Anyone want to know who made it and how I know ??
    9. I have posted this a few years ago, but somehow the question always pops up..... "Who made the Round 3 cross....."
    10. I guess it is open to iterpretation... Maritz's part in the Rebellion was mainly the annoying fact that he rebelled. Once any serious fighting started, his force crumbeled, many men saying he had forced them into rebellion. I have some photos I took of a bunch of documents in the Pretoria archives. Sure, a few hundred men were killed in the rebellion, but if the Boers could fight almost 4 years against the might of the British Empire, it indicates how much support there was for the rebellion when you see how fast it collapsed.
    11. Hi Stogie, can you remember what he had in his citation? I am going to try and get an early one like the doc you have pictured
    12. That is cool, in fact BETTER than cool..... Verdun Groups are very, very nice.
