    1. Some of the wifes grandfathers postwar awards...
    2. I find them kinda sloppy, grey sea paint on the golden wreath, I often think one of the Schwerin painters was a bit of a drinker...
    3. I tend to think this is among them. I spent about 10 years looking for one as my Wifes grandfather was on the ship at Narvik... Some of the dealers told me it never existed... finally I saw gordon had one for sale, in a nice used condition, perfect for me....
    4. Just dug these out, from my wifes Grandfather. Nothing new to anyone here I guess, but I like em ;-)
    5. More so because they were from narvik. and even more so because the guy was wounded ON THE WAY TO narvik, then his ship was engaged against the britisch HMS GLOWWORM, who's captain got the Victoria Cross for the action...
    6. This was one of the first series of shields. All 5 to the man were zinkers.
    7. This was one of three of these to a narvik man. there was also one Schwerin. As he was issued three, I assume they were these pattern... I think the Schwerin was bought later.
    8. I guess one of the panzer badge experts can tell me "This is a daisy, 3rd form, six wheeled variation of the 3rd die typeused by Junker with a supply of Deschler hinges...." ;-)
    9. Lovingly repaired.... The only reason it was still with the guys group was the repaired hook had broken and it survived with his stuff left at home while the stuff he had at the front got lost in captivity.
    10. One copy, one original? USd25 000 ? dont think I will be laying that down for either... to much other stuff to buy :-)
    11. Silly question... but where is the train? How do they end up putting an anchor on it?
    12. Guys.... am i the only one that has any french docs !?!?!?!?!!?
    13. Hi, The one side of the bolt is ground down so it cannot extract the cartirdges, the chamber is welded so no bullet can enter, and the barrel has holes bored in it.
    14. I flew back with it as my second piece of luggage. Had a few folks puzzle over it at the airport on both sides... but in the end it was OK.
