    3. Hi, Jup, unfortunately a split group at some stage. It is from Major Heinrich Graf von Luxberg, A Generalstabs Officer who served on the staff of the II B.A.K. from the outbreak of the war until the end of May 1916, He was 3. Generalstabsoffizier (See here) Then he joined the 10th Bavarian Reserve Arty Regt commanding a Battery, before taking over the regiment in 1917
    4. Hi, hard to say, I am not sure if it had a proper ribbon or just a bow, usually these veteran thingies had the ribbon in their local coulors... blue white for Bavarian etc...
    5. A Gladbach veterans association cross, added to a chain at some stage, could have been done by the seller, or the vet...
    6. Bingo! Usually for colonels and above it was apparently also for officer ranks lower than colonel in general staff positions? So now i have the crowns. I know need the blankets and saddle!! :-)

Indeed, often a specific Company, or even a Battalion was taken from a Regiment and designated as the Sturm Unit of the division Although in some divisions they seem to have picked the younger and fitter men to form a sturm unit, they were still on the rolls of their parent unit as far as pay etc went.
    13. Hi, Many Divisions etc had formed designated Sturm Units by 1918, often they went through a rudimentry training course with their local Sturm Bataillon, but were not part of the bataillon. Nice find!
