    1. Nice Brunswick Cross, used to have this cased and boxed. Scarce piece, 312-Euro
    2. Interesting bar, not sure if it can be identified, a little dingy. But nice, 168-Euro!
    3. Good Morning, periodically ribbon and devices will show up on eBay.de Good luck with your hunt!
    4. Nice little group! Congrats! I wonder if he received any decorations. Only way to find out would be to do an archive search on the name. Given the current political climate, I don’t know if that’s still possible to do?
    5. Good Morning, based on precedence I would say the Albert Cross is incorrect for the bar. Being before the HK I would expect something with swords, an Albert cross or Albert Knight with swords. The Albert Cross on the bar has a reverse center I have never seen before and I am unsure as to authenticity of this piece. Having said this, the construction and precedence of the bar looks correct for post 1934 to me. An interesting combination of Austrian awards.
    6. Reposted in the Austro-Hungarian Forum, maybe they can help with my question.
    7. I previously posted this in Imperial Germany but have not received a good answer to my question yet so I thought I would try this forum. My question is, is it possible for a recipient to receive the Order of The Iron Crown mit KD but no other Austrian awards? Seems a rather high level award with nothing else? Not my bar, it’s on auction in German eBay. Thought it was worthy of discussion. The bar seems correct precedence for post 1938 wear. Yes, I see the mismatched devices on the first Bulgarian Ribbon, that doesn’t bother me as much as my question. In my opinion, the devices are all authentic. I’ve had the KD on other ribbon bars over the years.
    8. I cannot even begin to say how disappointed I am to find our infamous purveyor of fakes hawking this right now for 30-Euro
    9. Good Morning! I don’t recall seeing an Iron Crown ribbon on the ribbon bar with swords, on the full sized bar or individual piece, yes, but not on the miniature. With the KD on the ribbon bar I think is correct. i do agree with you that the first Bulgarian ribbon looks like mismatched devices but that doesn’t bother me as much as the only Austrian award being an Iron Crown. Seems to be a rather high level award with no other one. Not my piece, it’s on German eBay. No way to check UV and I won’t be bidding as it’s not my area of interest. I did think it worthy of discussing.
    10. Well that’s a lovely old trapezoid bar! I think probably the 1870/71 KDM is correct.
    11. Hi Vince, I’m unsure about that, cannot remember ever seeing this cased before?
    12. This one went on US eBay, asking was $1450, sold to an unknown offer. Nice with the original case, unusual to see this cased
    13. Saw this bar in Germany. Don’t understand how the only Austrian decoration is an Iron Crown mitt KD. The miniature devices all look legit to me and the combination seems plausible. But my gut is giving me pause, or am I just being paranoid? Thoughts??
    14. Fake repeat clasp, $215. One would think that when the same seller keeps selling the same, rare items over and over that perhaps something is not quite right, but hey, what do I know?
    15. Fake Air Gunner Badge in fake “Godet” case, $428
    16. Apparently Grand Crosses of 1870 has become a cottage industry! Here’s yet another, $685! I find this hilarious
    17. This one surprised me. No bidders at 65-Euro. Scarce variant in the packet.
    18. Nice boxed & cased KO EK1, but to my eyes the core has been painted?? 412-Euro
    19. @lew, Good Morning, I agree that the cross looks like typical Scharffenburg. This was one of my first loves when I started down the Imperial Path so long ago. I still remember the first purchase. A medal bar with EK2, Merit Order2, Albert2 and Honor Cross. Came with all documents from US eBay for a mere $275. Not even sure how it caught my eye but I remember seeing it, thinking gee, that’s neat and opening the package. When I had it in my hands, I was hooked. The enamel work of the Merit Order was a favorite. Once upon a time I actually had a Merit Order RK1, first type, in a beautiful green case. Gold embossed trim and a little hook to close the case. Ralph Abercrombie bugged me for years to give it up to him and I eventually traded it to him. I wonder what ever became of it after he passed. Only cased example I ever saw.
