    1. There was an interesting Ukrainian anniversery medal that popped up in germany this week. Gut reaction was it was good piece, but wgere the heck would you ever be able to confirm that!??
    2. It's very nice to see these wonderful police items posted. Kim, that's a wonderful group with such complete original paperwork and the beautiful command badge. Rick, yours are beautiful as well!
    3. I Have a question.. the gilding looks very odd to me on the 2. klasse??
    4. Looks like it was cut off a medal bar and somebody just stuck the prongs in it to me. The case has nothing to do with the cross.
    5. Nice display Al! May I ask where the torsos can be found?? Thanks!
    6. David is quite correct....... Lippe-Detmold, not Anhalt. If it's any consolation, I made the same quick mistake when I owned that very photograph! ;>)
    7. It's better in person if you can get past the point that RR is known to lick medal bars to test for authenticity.......

    9. Thanks guys. It's probably not something I would have chased for, but it arrived unexpectantly from Alexei Merehzko (a shipping error)... once in hand though, it was pretty hard to pass up! Not something I actively look for, but certainly very hard to resist these little matched sets!
    10. Rumor has it that a certain Moderator from this Forum is the spitting image of this Navy guy.........
    11. The early "big" battles of Hasan & Halhingol I find very interesting. Per my "Evil Twin"?: "Now, I am NOT sure from eccentric handwriting if his last name is Dorelov or Gorelov, but Il'ya Ignatievich got this 22 February 1940 as attested by the Vladivostok Naval Hospital. He is a naval officer, so no rank showing in those pre-shoulder board days. TEENSY airbrushed photo all but obscures the fact that he is wearing the 1938 "Jubilee" Medal:"
    12. While advised to stick with groups....... I find it hard to resist individual badges and matching documents.
    13. Awwww, C'mon. I happen to know for a fact I am not the only Imperial case, packet and package freak!
    14. .......... and there's no way to ever confirm. Would look nice together, but no way you'll ever know for sure!
    15. Apart from the ugly eagles and triple-crown on the Anschluss medals........ turn this puppy over and we find:
