    1. Hi Joe, that is one of the sweetest examples I have seen in a very long time, of a very hard to find award. I would have liked to post the big pix, but I think there would have been much wailing and gnashing of teeth waiting for the pix to appear! A great cross and an excellent approach to a collection. Just try and get a really good example of all the EK2/EK1 equivalents...... not such an easy task! My compliments!
    2. Yet again, original parts...... cobbled together. Note the wear patterns on the backs....... yeah, that came from being mounted together for 150 years...... uh-huh....... As my Brit friends would say...... "pull the other one!"
    3. A very special Wilhelm Ernst Kreuz courtesy of Joe Campbell. photos were massive, sorry I had to skinny them up, they don't do it justice!!
    4. Hi Eric, I would have to agree with you on the Deumers vs. Juncker in "weight" and appearance, but I still find just a subtle bit more finishing on the Juncker badges. Call me biased, I can live with it
    5. Hi Bill, an excellent example. Nice and clean and a "looker" of a ribbon to boot! Very nice!
    6. Hi Jacques, as always, a magnificent selection and some superb crosses peeking out! Nice! I would agree with Marcus' opinion on the slipcase. Midwar experiment perhaps, but I think even given the lesser quality, they were still superior materials, weight of the cardboard and the inner fitted tray.... much better than what I would deem a "late-war" example.
    7. ahhh yes, just like driving. As with medal bars. Sometimes our "Orderly German Friends" are anything but!
    8. Hi Chris, for the record, no disrespect and/or derision was intended.... I just get a chuckle out of the name. Just as some of the 6 word Imperial pieces make me snicker. I do understand the significance of the award itself. My apologies if my comment offended anyone.
    9. Ya know...., I don't know doodly about Russki Commie Gouvna, but I just get such a chuckle everytime the pretentious "Order of Glory" name hits the index page I just had to come and look. Nice stuff guys & gals!
    10. Awesome guys! Keep it coming! Brian, nice detail foto! I never tire of seeing these pieces, especially up-close & personal! PS: Yes! Austrian enamel counts! As does all enamel from any of the "Central Powers"! "Bring it on"
    11. Let's jazz things up a bit! Post your enamel! Only one rule, piece must pre-date 1920! Aaaannnnnnddddddd away we go!
    12. Hi Heiko, yes, I saw several of these sell for crazy prices. Mind, i'm good with crazy prices, as long as the merchandise is real! here's another beauty. We are seeing either the same maker, or a student, or the seller has a new ID. In any event it's still a bad bar!
    13. By the by, Liaket Medal prices have sky-rocketed this year. You couldn't give them away at $100 about a year ago...... I've watched several nice examples top $200 loose in the last few months. An Imtiaz? If you can find it, way up. I've seen one gold in the last 25 years and it went in excess of 960 Euro! Unfortunately, it would seem the world has been listening. Lurkers & Prowlers are fighting each other with the knowledge they have gained by reading here!!
