    1. And finally, an "action shot" as the Rittmeister discusses tactics (??) with an unidentified pilot.
    2. Notice the numbering in the last 2 fotos? Here's the key neatly penned into the album:
    3. Here we have the obligatory "stairs" shot. I don't think I've seen a photo shot of any of the groups that didn't include a "stairs" shot!
    4. Group shot. Best as we can tell, ca. Fall, 1916. There's at least 4 eventual PLM winners here. Casualty Rate was ~80% by the end of the war!
    5. A rare series of images, private fotos all, from an album page purchased in Germany. 1 page, photos on both sides. Rare as heck! Here's The Brothers & Papa
    6. WW1 FG Enlisted Flieger Board. No unit number, no missing metal numbers. Odd shaped wings. No glow. Thick "buckram" rough-weave stiffener and crispy thin brown paper that the red has been sewn right through.... Sew-on style, unused. One moth nip on the back. Otherwise pretty clean! Weird, weird, weird.
    7. Hi Ralph! I.ve never seen this award in anything other than the 2 white boxes with the crest on the lid?? Maybe a box for something else?? PS: RR says "get back to your writing!!"
    8. He was discharged as he was suffering from Malaria still........ I will let my partner in crime fill in some of the exciting details he discovered!
    9. After World War One, he rapidly found "employment" with the III. Marine Brigade (yep, that's von Loewenfeld's outfit) The Silesian Eagle Document for the Second Class Award reads "for fierceness"......... an extremely rare document from this era!
    10. ... The Germans rewarded him with an exceptionally rare two full grade bump in rank and cited him in the promotion for "Bravery in The Field"
    11. He was decorated for Bravery by the Turks. Here's his rare, full-folio Turkish War Medal Document:
    12. Fritz Vielstich was an enlisted pilot who flew in Palestine........ yep, think Lawrence of Arabia and the two planes come swooping over the dunes and drive back the Brits.... He was one of those 2 pilots. He was a Gefreiter Pilot. He earned his EK2 flying with FA(A)-214:
    13. I'd agree... there's an awful lot of weeds out there, lots of tailings. But if one knows how to sift....... well, the results can be astounding! Both of these rare birds were eBay buys!
    14. Superb set. There's quite a few guys over here that would cheerfully kill for a group like this!
    15. Hi prosper, love the box. I have not seen too many of those floating about. The flower just makes it. Very nice!
    16. Hi Tom, I've seen 2 or 3 like this and could never figure out if for civilian, or a woman.... they were all like yours in style/presentation, with just a simple black safety pin at the back.
    17. Guess who I am! I was a famous German Ace, I won the Pour Le Merite, I died in the cockpit........ Here I am in a rare family portrait before I became famous.... Who am I?
