    1. the revers with maker Spinks & Son 5 King St West. Any info on this maker? It is apparently from Toronto.
    2. Hi there, Here is my 8th Army Canadian ribbon bar with the mini medals of the 39-45 Star, Italy Star, France Germany Star, 39-45 Medal, Defense Medal, and Canadian Voluntary Service Medal. I enjoy these mini medals and I was pretty happy to get a complete mounted set. I had to get a replacement CVSM medal which I placed over the original (which is missing the medal). Any body else have any of these Canadian 8th Army Mini Medal Bars or have any info on them? Thanks, Pat
    3. and the back, any stories or info on this medal are welcome, Thanks, Pat
    4. Hello, Just thought I would share one of my favourite Commonwealth medals, the 8th Army "Commemorative Medal of Entrance of British Army in Italy, 10 July 1943" medal. I found this at a flea market and instantly loved it as I enjoy the story of the 8th Army with its Canadian soldiers. I love the picture of Mt. Vesuvius in the background. Is this an official medal or is it just a regimental (or in this case, army) medal and how rare is it to find? Thanks, Pat
    5. Thanks Doc! Great Article on the Red Star. Mine definitely falls into the type 2 category and I am pleased that it is an early issue. Gotta love the wartime presented ones! Cheers, Pat
    6. Here is another unknown badge that I acquired with some other Russian stuff, and I was wondering what it was and around when it would have been awarded, as well as what for. Any help is awesome, Pat
    7. Hi again, Here are some unique pins I acquired a while back. I assume they are Russian Naval History Pins, but where and who would get awarded these? Or are they for purchase? I haven't seen these online yet, so any advice is helpful on IDing these badges/pins. Thanks, Pat
    8. Hello there, Here is my collection of Russian destroyer badges. I think each destroyer had their own pin with a picture of their ship on it. Are they WW2? If anybody has any info on these badges and maybe ID them that would really help a lot. Thanks, Pat
    9. the back, any info on this medal and when it was made and awarded for is appreciated.
    10. Hi guys, I am sorry for my ignorance on these Russian medals, but I cannot read Russian so they are a mystery to me. If anyone can ID this medal for me that would be great. It has 3 red stripes on the ribbon and two shades of grey on the ribbon as well, with the sickle of the communist era. Thanks, Pat
    11. Hello, I have this Russian WW2 Sub? Badge and I was wondering just what award it is, as well as when it would have been made and the value. It has 1941-45 on it and that's about all I can read of it. Any info on this badge is welcome, Thanks, Pat
    12. Hello there folks, Here is my Order of the Red Star serial# 99,855 in silver. I can't read Russian so I have no idea who the maker is. It is in pretty good shape and I believe it is from May 1943 with info from Rick Research's post. I was just wondering about the value of these badges (as well as the Patriotic War) and how serial#'s affect value. Thanks, Pat
    13. The back, with some tarnish on the silver. Is it better to leave the tarnish on it?
    14. Hello there, Just thought I would show my Order of the Patriotic War 2nd class, serial# 140,550 in silver. I believe it is from 1944 from Rick Research's info. It has kept much of its original lustre on the enamel. Any opinions onit are welcome. Thanks, Pat
    15. Greetings from beautiful BC, Here is my Deutsches Frauenwerk membership pin with RZM m1/13 maker mark on it. Where abouts in the timeline would this badge fit in? Were the Deutches Frauenschaft pins an earlier name for the same organization? or were they separate groups? I have seen a few of your collections on the one other post and the membership badges were all together, so I am assuming it is the same organization. Any help on this subject would be great, as well as any specific info on this badge and the maker. I am very grateful for any of your advice, Thanks, Pat
    16. Hello again, Here is an unmarked NSDAP membership pin made out of tombak (or some mixture of copper) I believe and I was wondering if it is an early issue, based on the merits of the material it is made of and no RZM marking. Is it common to have no RZM marking on a membership badge? It does have the Ges.Gesch marking on the pin holding and the badge itself. I am fairly confident of its originality and any info on when it was made or the maker would be much appreciated as well as any opinions on originality. Thanks for all the help so far, Pat
    17. Hi there, I have has this RAD women's long service medal since the beginning of my collecting days, and was wondering about its originality. The ribbon that came with it appears to be a faded west wall ribbon (non-glowing), so this brought questions. I read somewhere that the swaz is supposed to be painted black, and mine does not look like it had any black paint. Are these enough questions to make this one doubtful? Any info on this medal and the ribbon are very appreciated, Thanks, Pat
    18. That is freakin' hilarious!! Is it made of high grade German plastic??? Pat
    19. I had a feeling they weren't good, as they were two of the only other items I purchased early on in my collecting from the "gentleman" that sold me the fraudulent badges. My SS Button? Cap badge? I have posted was purchased from someone else so I have a better feeling about it. Thanks, Pat
    20. Hi guys, Flak88 did a wonderful job of IDing this one for me as a FL&L copy, as much as it pains me to discover that 90% of my badges were fake. Any ideas if they are early fakes? At least most of my other stuff so far is checking out so that takes a little of the pain away... Thanks again, Pat
